The band Ricochee was born in 1998 in Sibiu, Romania.

Long time high-school friends Lars and Iuli joined forces with drummer Tilman and bassist Szany to form a punk-hard-rock band. After a series of searching for their original sound and some underground concerts, Dan replaced Tilman on drums, Mihai replaced Szany on bass, and the two marvelous ladies Mira and Alina completed the long-standing formula of the band.

The band style slightly changed, becoming more pop-rock, more melodic and with some ethnic influences.

Ricochee toured extensively in a lot of Romania's big cities and also at some festivals and clubs in Germany and Poland.
The most notable achievement was the first place in an international song contest for bands singing in German (Internationaler Musikpreis 2004) , organized by Deutsches Musik-Exportburo.

Ricochee's recordings were produced during two recording sessions:
- one in 2002 (VDV Studio) which produced songs like "Tirip", "So fxxx beautiful", "Bucuria" or the ballad "Love is". This one was a tough one, with a dozen of songs, each one with different versions in different languages (Romanian, German, English)
- one in 2005 (Recreate Studio Bucharest) in which the ballad "Nothing to lose" was recorded.

In 2006 the band stopped its activity, after "the founding fathers" Lars and Iuli moved to other countries.
But they reunited in 2023 and started doing music again.

Some of Ricochee's members also have had their own side-projects:
- Iuli recorded five albums available at: mi-mi-mi.bandcamp.com
- Mira released one album (Desire) under the name "MeeRah" (produced in collaboration with Iuli): meerah.eu
